Toll Violations on GA400 I was enjoying a New Years Day dinner with a group of friends, and as always the conversation covers a multitude of subjects.
One of my friends was relating her experience of not having any cash for the toll on GA 400, and the fee she had to pay. These days with credit cards, debit cards, check cards, gift cards, cash is not always necessary, and you forget there are just things that you need cash for. I can remember the time, I didn’t have any toll money. I drove up to the toll booth advised the attendant I did not have any cash. The attendant records your information, gives you a toll violation notice, and lets you through the gate. The fee if I remember correctly was a $1.00 or $2.00 plus the 50 cents. You mailed in the violation notice along with the money by the deadline.
I am writing this post to let everyone like me, who was not aware that as of July, 2010 the toll violation fee on GA 400 has changed. It is now $25.00 plus the 50 cents.
Keep that change in your car.
